The spark behind Dr.Who Scrubs

My story

In healthcare, especially for women, we often think that focusing on how we look is unprofessional. That caring about fashion means we’re less serious, less focused, or somehow less capable. We’re told that self-care is a luxury, not a priority. But how can we pour into others if we’re constantly emptying ourselves? Women in healthcare carry so much. We show up for long hours, under pressure, holding space for pain, healing, and hope. And yet, we’re expected to disappear into uniforms that strip away our individuality, as if feeling good about ourselves somehow takes away from the care we give, when in reality, it does the opposite.

When you feel good, you show up differently.

When you shine, your patients feel it.

Wearing scrubs doesn’t have to mean giving up who you are. Fashion is not a distraction; it’s an expression. It’s empowerment. It’s a reminder that you matter too.

As a student pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Health Science, medical scrubs became part of my everyday life. But very quickly, I realized something was missing. Scrubs didn’t have to be boring. I wanted to feel confident, not only in my skills, but in what I wore.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I was inspired by my mom, an accomplished fashion designer known for her Austrian crystal-embellished designs. Together, we imagined something different. What if healthcare and fashion could exist in the same space?

and just like that, Dr.Who was born…

Dr. Who Scrubs is more than scrubs. It’s a movement created to empower women in healthcare to feel confident. Every piece is designed with purpose, blending comfort, function, and style, because to care deeply for others, you must also care for yourself.

Dr. Who Scrubs is for the real heroes, the women who show up every day with heart, strength, and resilience. Our hope is that when you put on our scrubs, you don’t just feel ready for work, you feel seen, confident, and empowered to shine like never before.

Thank you for being a part of this dream.

With gratitude,

Victoria Lossada.
